600 sq mtrs of 6mm heavy duty polyurethane screed laid at automotive factory in the North East.
Resistant to Heavy Machinery
PSC Flooring Ltd, industrial flooring contractors, have recently installed a 6mm Resdev Pumdur RT heavy duty polyurethane screed to an new existing tool room area for a global car component manufacturer in the North East. The client wanted a floor that was hard wearing, resistant to heavy machinery, easy to clean and could last at least 10 years.
PSC Flooring Ltd put forward a 6mm Resdev Pumdur RT polyurethane screed as the best option. Heavy duty polyurethane screed offers the highest level of durability to date and FeRFA, the UK resin’s governing body, classifies these screeds as Type 8, meaning they are the most hard wearing, robust screeds on the market.
Polyurethane screeds are hand trowel applied to produce a heavy duty, matt, anti skid surface which is proof against almost everything including steel wheeled traffic and substantial impact and abrasion. This floor is ideal for the tough demands of the automotive industry.
Top Quality Results
The failed floor paint and concrete floor was mechanically cleaned using the diamond grinder and then one coat of epoxy resin primer was laid. After all toe in and anchor groves were cut, the floor was then thoroughly repaired and then followed by the 6mm Resdev Pumdur RT heavy duty polyurethane screed, mid grey.
Fast & Efficient Application
The resin flooring project was completed in 8 working days, on time and in budget. Mr Ian Cooper, Production Director said, “The new resin screed is excellent and is exactly what we wanted. We wanted a floor that could withstand heavy use, easy to clean and long lasting. We will certainly be using PSC Flooring Ltd again to get more of our floors completed.”
