On Power – Aston Villa – Commercial Flooring
PSC flooring were called in by a third party contractor to look at 450 square metres of concourse as part of a wider refurbishment project in the famous Holte end, at Aston Villa’s ground at Villa Park Football Ground.
Client Brief and Recommendation
Aston Villa was looking for a hardwearing floor that could accommodate the high levels of foot traffic they experience at football matches and concerts alike. The brief was for a hard wearing, anti-slip resin floor in grey, that would be easy to clean. PSC recommended a two-coat high build epoxy resin flooring system with a 0.4 to 0.8mm pigmented quartz anti slip aggregate.
Commercial Flooring Contractor
In preparation for the two-coat high build epoxy resin flooring system with a 0.4 to 0.8mm pigmented quartz anti slip aggregate, the floor was fully cleaned and prepared using the captive diamond grinding machine and totally enclosed hand held 110v diamond grinder. The floor area was then cleaned of all residues and dust with 110v triple motor vacuum and repairs were made to any localised damaged concrete, holes, bolt holes as required using resin filler.
450 square metres of High Build Epoxy Resin
The team from PSC then laid two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build, epoxy resin, in the clients chosen Mid Grey, Ral 7047, gloss, incorporating a 0.3 to 0.6mm quartz anti slip aggregate. Including 100mm upstands where necessary.
The contacts from Villa Park were absolutely delighted with the new resin floor now it is all finished ready for future events.
