Gestamp Tallent Ltd – Engineering and Manufacturing Flooring
Part of the Gestamp group, an international group with presence in more than 23 countries dedicated to the design, development, and manufacture of metal automotive components, Gestamp Tallent Ltd is the UK arm.
Over a number of years PSC Flooring have carried out flooring work at two of the UK Gestamp facilities. In each case PSC Flooring recommended a nominal 6mm heavy duty RT polyurethane screed as the client brief was a hard-wearing floor that was seamless, easy to clean, could give anti-slip resistance when wet and would last for a decade or more.
511 square metres, Test Lab Floor, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.
The existing concrete floors in the Test lab were shot blasted clean and repairs were made to any areas of damaged concrete using epoxy mortar compound. To seal the floor one coat of Resdev Pumaprime damp proof epoxy resin primer was laid to the whole area.
A nominal 6mm heavy duty Resdev Pumadur polyurethane screed was applied by trowel, in the clients chosen mid grey. To complete the refurbishment a 6mm x 6mm channel was saw cut to the expansion joints and infilled with joining compound.
The work was carried out in just one week, completed on time and in budget. The customer was delighted with the results.
