Motus Commercials Frome – Vehicle Workshop Flooring
Motus Commercials invited us to assess a 537 square metre HGV workshop refurbishment project in Frome. Furthermore, Motus Commercials Frome is an approved DAF dealership in eastern Somerset, South West England, offering a wide range of new and used commercial vehicles.
Motus Commercials Frome Brief and Recommendation
During the site visit, we noted that the floor would need to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Then, PSC Flooring recommended installing a two-coat High Build epoxy resin system with demarcation chevrons for the two pit areas and reversing lines.
In Preparation
To thoroughly clean and prepare the existing concrete surfaces, the PSC team used a totally enclosed diamond grinding floor surface preparation system. Additionally, they used a totally enclosed handheld 110v diamond grinder for the edges.
After that, the team vacuumed the area to remove all residues and dust. Additionally, they repaired any localised damaged concrete and cracks as needed using epoxy mortar compound and epoxy resin filler.
537 Square Metres of High Build Epoxy Resin
Once fully prepared two coats of Resdev Pumatect, high build epoxy resin flooring system were laid in the clients chosen, mid grey to the total floor area. Then, a 200mm wide area was then masked out to create a band around VOSA pit area, including shaker pads, VOSA rolling road, and Pumatect V high build epoxy resin in safety yellow was laid.
Moreover, to create the chevrons around VOSA pit area, including shaker pads, VOSA rolling road area, 300mm wide x 200mm deep areas were measured and masked out. They were then laid with Pumatect V high build epoxy resin in black. Finally, a variety of lens beam setter lines and reversing lines were then masked out and laid in Safety yellow and white.
The Job was completed in just 3 days – on time and within budget.
