Glenside Commercial Interiors – Engineering & Manufacturing Flooring
Client Brief and Recommendation
In this case the end client, an engineering facility in Aylesbury was looking for a hardwearing floor that would withstand the rigors of their production. It was recommended that a 6mm Resdev Pumadur MD polyurethane screed was installed with expansion joints cut and in filled with matching polyurethane jointing compound.
Preparation of floor surface
Furthermore, to prepare the concrete floor surface for the 6mm Resdev Pumadur MD polyurethane screed, our team thoroughly cleaned and prepared it using a captive double-headed diamond grinding machine and a handheld 110v diamond grinder. We then vacuumed it clean of all residues and dust with a 110v triple motor vacuum and made 6mm x 6mm saw cuts to door thresholds, around drains, and where necessary to anchor the screed
400 square metres of 6mm Resdev Pumadur MD polyurethane screed
400 square metres of 6mm resdev Pumadur MD polyurethane screed in the clients chosen mid grey was then installed over just 3 days. Once dry 100 linear metres of expansion joints were cut, knocked out and in filled with matching polyurethane jointing compound.
The finish is brilliant and not a trowel mark in sight, we are delighted with our new hard-wearing floor, so much so we have already lined PSC Flooring up to do the flooring on our next project.
Taking just 5 working days the job was completed on time and in budget.
