Advanced Coated Products Ltd – Engineering & Manufacturing Flooring
PSC Flooring were called in to look at refurbishing the floor surface in the print machine area for Advanced Coated Products Ltd a supplier of specialised coated films in Cheltenham. The floor totalling 172 square metres was previously resin coated over 10 years ago and was very worn and tired.
In Preparation
In order to get the floor ready for the new floor surface it was necessary to remove failed floor coatings and thoroughly clean and prepare existing resin floor surface. The main floor area was ground back using a triple headed diamond grinding machine and the edges were completed with a handheld diamond grinder. The area was the vacuumed clean of all dust and residue before repairs were made to localised damaged concrete, holes and cracks using epoxy resin filler.

As there was one particular machine that used silicone, a coat of Resdev OCS oil tolerant epoxy resin primer was laid to 40 square metres of silicone affected area to neutralise the silicone.
The area was divided with a 46 square metre walkway was masked out. Two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build epoxy resin flooring system, in the clients chosen Light Grey Ral 7035 were laid to 126 square metres with the 46 square metre walkway receiving two coats of Resdev Pumatect high build in Red (Ral 3009). 75mm wide edging lines were then masked out and given Resdev Pumatect V high build epoxy resin in safety yellow to 58 linear metres.
The job was completed in just 4 days on time and on budget.
