SL epoxy resin screed 200 sq mtrs of 3mm laid at a Labelling Manufacturers
A large labelling Manufacturer contacted PSC Flooring Ltd to refurbish their production area. They were moving out old machines with modern equipment and the existing epoxy resin coatings were not giving them a long term solution and they were constantly upgrading them every few years. The brief was for a hard wearing, durable floor surface to withstand high levels of fork lift traffic and usage and would provide an aesthetically pleasing floor.
Ideal For Industrial Locations
PSC Flooring Ltd specified a Resdev Pumaflow 3mm SL epoxy resin screed. Epoxy resin self-levelling screeds are ideal for industrial locations where a durable, hygienic dust free environment is important e.g. laboratories, hospital clean rooms, electronics assembly plants, showrooms and light industrial plants.
6-10 Years Life Expectancy
SL epoxy resin screed is categorised by FeRFA as Type 5 (2-3mm thick) and recommends them for regular foot traffic, frequent forklift traffic and occasional hard plastic wheeled trolleys. In Light to Medium duty working environments the BS indicates a typical life expectancy of 6-10 years for this type of self levelling floor topping.
All the floors were prepared using the diamond grinding machine remove the existing resin coatings and all areas were swept and vacuumed cleaned and all expansion joints were recut and repaired using epoxy mortar compound. Two coats epoxy resin primer were then laid to the total floor area.
A 3mm SL epoxy resin screed, mid blue was laid to the total floor area.
The project was completed in 4 days, on time and in budget, providing the client with an appealing, durable, hard wearing compound surface that will be maintenance free and can be used for many years to come.
