T Quality Ltd – Aston – Warehouse Flooring
Client Brief and Recommendation
Upon assessing the client’s requirements, it was evident that a durable, low-maintenance flooring solution was imperative for the high-traffic food distribution warehouse. The inspection revealed several layers of deteriorated floor coatings, necessitating their removal to facilitate the application of the recommended two-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring system. Consistent with past projects, the comprehensive installation at Aston Depot was executed in two discrete phases, meticulously scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays to mitigate operational disruptions.
In Preparation
To ensure the area was properly prepared for the recommended 2-coat High Build Epoxy Resin Flooring System, our team ground back the old concrete floor using our captive Husqvarna diamond grinders. This meticulous procedure encompassed the removal of failed floor paint and years of built-up grime from the concrete to ensure optimal adhesion of the concrete substrate with the coating system. We carried out thorough edgework preparation, including underneath racking, utilising a completely enclosed handheld 110v diamond grinder. Following this, we meticulously cleaned the entire area to eliminate all residues and dust. Additionally, any localised damaged concrete, large cracks, and holes were effectively repaired using Epoxy Mortar Compound.
800 Square metres of Warehouse Flooring
Two layers of Resdev Pumatect High Build Epoxy Resin were meticulously applied across the entire 800 square metre area in the client-selected colour, Chelsea Blue.
The project was efficiently executed on Friday and Saturday, ensuring a prompt return to operations by Monday morning. Further phases have been thoughtfully scheduled over several weekends to mitigate disruption at the bustling depot. The client expressed extreme satisfaction with the transformation and said they were recommending our services for the refurbishment of their Avonmouth depot, which spans approximately 1100 square metres and is planned for later in the year.
