Epoxy Resin Flooring Contractors
A car garage, specialising in the repair of Ferrari’s and Aston Martin’s contacted PSC Flooring, industrial flooring contractors Ltd to refurbish their garage floor. The existing floor paint was very worn and was not giving them a long term solution and they were constantly upgrading them every few years. The brief was for a hard wearing, very bright, gloss, epoxy resin floor that would be very durable and would last for a long time.

PSC Flooring Ltd specified a Resdev Pumaflow 3mm SL epoxy resin screed. Epoxy resin self-levelling screeds are ideal for industrial and commercial locations where a durable, hygienic dust free environment is important e.g. laboratories, hospital clean rooms, electronics assembly plants, showrooms and light industrial plants.
Epoxy SL screeds are categorised by FeRFA as Type 5 (2-3mm thick) and recommends them for regular foot traffic, frequent forklift traffic and occasional hard plastic wheeled trolleys. In Light to Medium duty working environments the BS indicates a typical life expectancy of 6-10 years for this type of floor topping.

All the floors were prepared using the diamond grinding machine remove the existing paint coatings and all areas were swept and vacuumed cleaned and all expansion joints were recut and repaired using epoxy mortar compound. Extensive epoxy resin repairs were carried out to level the floor before two coats epoxy resin primer were then laid to the total floor area.
A 3mm Resdev Pumaflow SL epoxy resin screed, safety red was laid to the total floor area.
Efficient Installation
The project was completed in 6 days, providing the client with a very smooth, aesthetically pleasing, hard wearing surface that will be maintenance free and can be used for many years to come.
